Q: What's the problem?
A: Poverty and education in rural Uganda
In Bwindi, southwest Uganda, 90% of the population lives on less than a dollar a day. Education is the single best route out of poverty but, with more than half the population aged under fifteen and a shortage of qualified teachers, schools struggle to give a great education to class sizes of up to 70 children.
Q: What's our solution?
A: Skilled volunteers & targeted projects
Our mission is to support the Bwindi community in their rise out of poverty. Through education, infrastructure development, health promotion and job creation, our volunteers and supporters enable us to tackle these problems at their source.
