Welcome to Volunteer Uganda!

Volunteer Uganda

Volunteer Uganda is an award winning group of organisations dedicated to supporting communities in rural southwest Uganda in their efforts to rise out of poverty.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help bring about permanent, sustainable development through educational infrastructure development, job creation, health promotion and volunteering.

Choose from a range of volunteer projects including teaching in schools, research and sports coaching.

Support our partner schools, sponsor a student for a year, or make a donation towards a community project.

Volunteer Uganda focuses on supporting the community in the Bwindi district of rural southwest Uganda. Here, over 90% of the population live on less than a dollar a day, fertility rates exceed 8 children per woman and there is a shortfall of qualified teachers, resulting in class sizes of up to 70 children.

By bringing skilled international volunteers and donations from around the world into the Bwindi community, Volunteer Uganda is able to support the community in their efforts to rise out of poverty, through education and infrastructure development, health promotion and job creation.

Without the contribution of its amazing volunteers and funding from our incredibly generous supporters and donors, Volunteer Uganda would be nothing but a dream. If you're reading this, ask yourself, "what can I give? How can I be a part of this?" It will be the best decision you make.
