Why volunteering?

Make a difference  - "it's so worth it"

Volunteering is one of the most effective ways to bring about change. Volunteer Uganda has hosted over 600 volunteers in the last 5 years and every single volunteer has made a difference to the lives of hundreds (if not thousands) of young peoples lives. You really do make a difference.

Personal development  - "really opens your eyes"

Volunteering in Uganda develops a wide range of skills, it helps you form a greater understanding of charity and international development, it broadens your horizons, it challenges your opinions and gives you a greater appreciation for the opportunities others miss out on.

The best experience of your life  - "it's so, so fun"

So many of our volunteers come away from their time in Uganda saying "this was the best six weeks of my life". Not only do you take part in an unforgettable volunteering programme, you get to experience life in a completely new way, explore a beautiful country and make friends for life.
